Exclusive: MG Windsor Gets Its First Price Hike In Jan 2025 | V3Cars
We have recently learned from a reliable source that MG have revised the prices of the Windsor EV and effective Jan 1, 2025, all 3 of its variants will cost Rs. 50,000 more. At the time of publishing this article, the official MG India website continues to carry the older prices. But, you should expect to see a revision there very soon. It’s currently unclear if MG will continue to give away the 1-year free public charging offer to all Windsor buyers buying the car at these higher prices.
The Windsor’s wholesale figures continue to hold strong with over 3,000 dispatches every month. This price hike is likely to affect those figures. And if the price hike doesn’t pan out for MG as they hoped, then there’s always the good ‘ol technique of adjusting the effective price with discounts.

This price hike will certainly get the fence sitters to check in with their local MG dealership, who are very likely to offer the buyers the option of buying the Windsor at older prices. Although, that will probably come with certain caveats such as buying insurance through the dealership and also including the ‘essential accessory kit’ in the packaged deal.
Meanwhile, the Windsor EVs delivered so far to the customers are doing their job of showing up on the roads and creating a sense of trust among potential buyers as well as non buyers. The free public charging offer is also giving the Windsor owners plenty of reasons to keep driving the car around and keep it in people’s conversations.
