The all new Mercedes-Benz A-Class is getting all braced up for is official unveiling in early 2018. The German luxury car giant is busy creating a buzz around the next generation A-Class and is revealing details of the new model before its world debut. In order to offer an idea of what all good things to expect from the all new Mercedes A-Class, the company has revealed the cabin of the new upcoming A-Class.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz A-Class is the model’s fourth generation model and it has been overhauled completely to become more up-class both on the outside and on the inside. The all new A-Class has donned a more premium look and feel with the help of new styling as well as technology that it borrows from its sibling S-Class. The new-gen model’s cabin which has been officially revealed recently shows that it has become a lot more alluring and premium than the outgoing model. The cabin of the next-gen A-Class flaunts two split screen displays and a dual-tone dashboard with a floating-type styling effect.
The most noteworthy detail of the next generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class’ cabin are the two 3D displays, one of which is a 7 inch unit and the other a 10.25 inch one. The displays stretch all the way from the centre console to the driver’s seat. One of these two new screens replaces the traditional instrument console similar to that of the S-Class and the new E-Class, while the other screen serves as the display for the infotainment as well as the navigation systems. The new-gen model also gets more evolved and classier new air conditioner vents.
Other features details include a fascinating LED ambience lighting system with up to 64 colour options, auto climate control, and a new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel that has been borrowed from the S-Class. The seats of the new A-Class will offer heating and climate control features as an option. The electric seat adjustment buttons have been shifted on the doors, as seen on the larger Mercedes models. The lower part of the centre console also accommodates all the controls of the car a gear selector and a touchpad among others.
Like most of the new-gen cars, the 2018 A-Class has also grown in size, which should result in improved space and comfort, particularly for the rear passengers. The new model gets narrower pillars for enhanced visibility, while also offering increased headroom of 7 mm. Mercedes has also improved the car’s boot space which will be 370 litres, 29 litres more than the current model. As per Mercedes-Benz, the new A-Class’ boot also comes with 200 mm wider loading aperture, making it more convenient and accessible.
Internationally, the next generation A-class will be available in three trims, namely - Style, AMG-Line and Progressive.
The all new Mercedes-Benz A-Class is scheduled to make its world debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It will be launched in the car market of India as well.
