The leading luxury car brand in India, Mercedes-Benz is continuing its long string of model launches in India this year as well to keep the customer interest hooked on to it and to bolster its top positioning. The German luxury auto behemoth had ensured that it grabbed all eyeballs at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2018 with its EQ concept and other models on display alongside the launch of the Mercedes-Maybach S650. However, the car major is known for its back to back launches and is already braced up to launch the new updated Mercedes-Benz S-Class on 26th of February, 2018.
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will be launching the new refreshed S-Class in the Indian car market officially on February 26. The current generation S-Class was first introduced back in 2014, and has been a massively popular. This is the mid-life refresh for the S-Class and it is meant to make things even more interesting and alluring in terms of creature comfort and luxurious appeal.
When the exterior styling updates are concerned, the new refreshed Mercedes-Benz S-Class is more in line with Mercedes-Benz’s new-age cars family. While the basic design language and the overall shape and silhouette will be remaining the same as the older model, there will be a whole host of new detailing and additional styling elements to make the luxury car offer a fresh and more stunning visual appeal.
The S-Class facelift’s headlight enclosures are newly designed and the LED Daytime Running Lights also get a new layout as against the outgoing model. The car will also be flaunting restyled tail lights and of course newly designed alloy wheels apart from other subtle styling updates on the outside in order to add to the fresh looks of the car. The character lines and curves of the luxury sedan will be retained.
Being a mid-life update, the new Mercedes S-Class comes with an array of newly added features on the inside to take the luxury and comfort factors a notch higher. The cabin of the new refreshed S-Class will be offering a plethora of features as part of its standard package. The standard equipments will include an ambient lighting system with 64 colour options, innumerable luxurious comfort features as well as more premium interior materials such as seat upholstery and plastic surfaces for a more luxurious look and feel all over. The twin display screens take the central position and dominate the entire dashboard of the. The displays offer customizable layouts for the car’s instrument cluster and for the infotainment system and flaunt the great luxuriousness of the car’s cabin.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift will be coming powered by a 3 litre petrol and V6 diesel motor choices, while the top of the range powerful V8 mill will also be there powering the S500 variant. The refreshed S-Class will be fighting it out with the likes of the Audi A8, the BMW 7 Series and the Jaguar XJ.
