Japanese auto major Nissan has introduced a new base variant -- XE -- of the Kicks compact SUV. The Kicks XE is priced at Rs. 9.89 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan India).
The new entry level variant of the Kicks is available with the diesel engine only. It is around Rs 1.2 lakh more affordable than the previous base XL variant. The price hike of the other variants of the Kicks ranges between Rs 2000 and Rs 24,000, depending on the variant. The Japanese auto major has also realigned the lineup of the car, as instead of the range topping XV Pre and XV Pre Option variants, only one top-end variant -- XV Premium -- will now be available in the market. The new XV Premium variant combines features of the previous XV Pre and Pre-Option variants.
