Citroen India have launched the 2026 Basalt X Comfort Edition at a starting price of Rs. 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Introduced as part of the brand's 108th anniversary celebrations, the Comfort Edition is designed to offer various comfort and convenience features to the base variant of the Citroen SUV coupe.

What's New In The 2026 Citroen Basalt X Comfort Edition?
The Basalt X Comfort Edition introduces Citroen's Comfort AXS accessory packs, which are available on the You and Plus variants. Depending on the variant selected, buyers get several premium additions, including:
- Beige leatherette seat upholstery
- 10.25-inch Android-based touchscreen infotainment system
- Wireless phone charger
- JBL premium audio system
- Dual dashcams with predictive safety alerts
- Rearview camera
These additions are aimed at enhancing cabin comfort and convenience without requiring buyers to upgrade to higher variants.
Engine And Transmission Options
The Basalt X Comfort Edition continues with the existing petrol engine options offered in the standard model.
The 1.2L normal petrol engine produces 82PS of power and 115Nm of torque. It is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine, on the other hand, offers 110PS of power. It produces 190Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual transmission and 205Nm with the 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic.
The normal petrol engine is available with the base You and Plus variant, while the more powerful turbo petrol engine is offered in the Plus and Max variants.

The Citroen Basalt continues to compete with SUVs such as the Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Tata Sierra. The new Comfort Edition offers buyers a more feature-rich ownership experience while keeping the entry price relatively affordable.
