The Magnite SUV will be offered in four variants: XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. There will be two engines on offer, including Triber’s 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine making 72PS and 96Nm mated to a 5-speed MT. The other engine on offer is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine making 100PS and 152Nm, mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT.
Features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill launch assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, cruise control, push-button start and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will be offered with some segment-first features as well, including a 360-degree camera and a digital instrument cluster. Nissan will also offer Tech Pack with the Magnite, which includes features like wireless mobile charging, JBL sound system, air purifier, LED scuff plates, ambient mood lighting and puddle lamps.
Although Nissan is yet to reveal the prices of the Magnite, a leak suggests it will be priced from Rs 5.50 lakh going up to Rs 9.55 lakh. At this price, it will undercut its rivals by a substantial margin. The Magnite will take on the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V and the Tata Nexon.
