British luxury automaker Jaguar Land Rover had taken the wraps of its Range Rover Velar in the month of March this year. The Velar SUV is the fourth new member of the Range Rover family and is also likely to fill the void in between the positioning of the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. It has now come to light that the Range Rover Velar will be hitting the car market of India on 20th January, 2018.
The Range Rover Velar is the latest SUV model from the house of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). The Velar has been endowed with the latest styling, features and cutting-edge technology, and it boasts to one of the best sporty and luxurious offerings from JLR. Jaguar Land Rover’s Indian parent company, Tata Motors has reported record sales growth due to the latest JLR models. Thus, the company is going to launch the new Velar SUV in India as well in order to garner some good sales volumes and also to make most of the highly popular and rapidly growing Indian SUV space.
The Range Rover Velar has been endowed with sporty and sophisticated styling. It features neat character lines and highly stylized full LED headlights to make it a stunner. The Velar is also one of the most aerodynamic models from Land Rover which gets a number of special aerodynamic enhancing elements such as deployable door handles. It has a great drag coefficient which just 0.32.
The neat and sleek visual appeal of the Range Rover Velar has been enhanced by its minimalistic design and is also seen on the cabin of the SUV. The minimum amount of buttons and the new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system keeps the Velar’s cabin clean. There are also two integrated large 10 inch HD touchscreens. Safety equipments include 6 airbags, a lengthy suite of advanced driver assistance systems like Autonomous Emergency Braking system, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist system, Adaptive Speed Limiter and much more.

Internationally, the Range Rover Velar gets a choice of 6 petrol and diesel engines, all of which get paired with an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission, All-Wheel Drive system along with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics.
The 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel motors come in 180PS and 240PS units, while the new 4-cylinder Ingenium petrol mill offers 250PS and a superfast 0-100kmph sprint in just 6.7 seconds. The top of the line supercharged V6 petrol engine offers 380PS and makes the SUV do the 0-100kmph run in only 5.7 seconds, while offering an electronically restricted top speed of 250kmph.
