Renault 7 Model India Lineup By 2030 Announced

Renault To Launch 7 Models, Multiple Powertrains

At the core of Renault’s India roadmap is a 7-car portfolio spanning key segments, from B1-segment hatchbacks to C-segment SUVs.

Unlike its current lineup, the future range will adopt a multi-powertrain approach, including:

  • Petrol (ICE)
  • CNG
  • Strong Hybrid
  • Full Electric (EV)

This signals a shift towards a more flexible strategy aimed at improving Renault’s relevance across segments and price points.

What Will The Lineup Include?

Renault currently sell 4 models in India — the Kwid, Kiger, Triber and the recently launched 2nd-generation Duster.

The remaining models expected to complete the 7-car lineup include:

  • A 3-row version of the Duster (sold as Bigster internationally)
  • The upcoming Bridger B2-segment SUV
  • Additional derivatives, including EV versions

Together, these models will help Renault expand into higher-value segments while maintaining a presence in the mass market.

New Platforms To Enable Expansion

A key part of Renault’s strategy is the introduction of 2 new-generation platforms:

  • RGEP (Renault Group Entry Platform) - an evolution of the CMF-A architecture that underpins the Kwid, Triber and Kiger
  • RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform) - new platform that underpins the 2nd generation Duster. It will also underpin the upcoming Bridger and Bigster SUVs

Both platforms are designed to support multiple powertrain options, including ICE, CNG, hybrid and electric, allowing Renault to adapt quickly to changing market demands.

Alongside expanding its portfolio, Renault are also moving towards a more premium positioning in India.

Future models are expected to focus on advanced in-car technology, electrified powertrains as well as improved quality and features.

The company have also announced a 7-year warranty as part of efforts to enhance customer confidence and ownership experience.

India At The Centre Of Renault’s Global Plans

Renault are positioning India as a core pillar of their global growth strategy, with ambitions to make it one of their top 3 markets worldwide by 2030.

The company is also targeting up to 90% localisation levels, around €2 billion in annual exports by 2030 and India as a global hub for engineering, manufacturing and exports.

Renault’s Chennai facility, which houses over 6,000 engineers, will play a key role in developing vehicles and technologies for both domestic and international markets.
