    Renault Captur starts arriving at dealerships ahead of launch; all you need to know

    Renault India is all set to officially launch its Captur premium compact SUV in the domestic car market. The French carmaker had recently unveiled the model in India, while it is expected to hit the market for sale around Diwali. As the launch date approaches near, Renault India has started dispatching the Captur SUV to all its authorized dealership outlets across the country.

    The picture of the soon to launch Renault Captur has emerged online, which is on its way to a dealership. This further indicates that the Captur is certainly hitting the Indian car market within this month. While Renault India has confirmed the market launch of the Captur SUV, the car manufacturer has not yet announced the exact launch date. According to the speculations Renault intends to take the advantage of the festive spirits in the country this year and launch the vehicle during Diwali. By the looks of it, Renault seems to be preparing really well for it.

     

    The new Renault Captur is currently open for bookings, and the prospective buyers can book the SUV online by visiting the official company website as well as through the Renault Captur App. One can also physically visit the nearest Renault dealership to book the Captur for a booking amount of only Rs. 25,000. The Renault Captur will be launched in India as a premium offering. It will be placed above the Duster in Renault India’s lineup and increase the company’s product portfolio from the current 3 to a total 4 products. Post its India launch, the Captur will be fighting it out with the likes of the Jeep Compass and Hyundai Creta. The new French SUV in India is expected to be priced in the range of around Rs. 12 lakhs to Rs. 16 lakhs.

     

    When the mechanical specifications are concerned, the new Captur will be packing in the same 1.5 litre 4-cylinder diesel motor and the 1.5 litre petrol mill choice that do the duty under the hood of the Duster compact SUV. The petrol engine has the ability to churn out a peak power of 104 bhp at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of top torque at 4,000 rpm, the oil burner is good to deliver a max power output of 108 bhp at 4,000 rpm along with peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The Captur is expected to come equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox as standard, while there’s still no word for an automatic.

     

    The Renault Captur measures 4,329 mm long, 1,813 mm wide, 1,619 mm tall and comes with a wheelbase that measures 2,673 mm. In terms of premium looks and features, the Captur will be pretty loaded. This contemporary and stylish SUV will flaunt LED headlights along with C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, floating turn indicators, contrast roof and attractive tail lights.

    The Captur’s well-appointed and up-class cabin will come in dual-tone black and white color scheme, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with media navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, twin-pod instrument cluster, rear armrest and many more features.
