    Renault Capture to launch in India on 6th of November, 2017

    French automaker Renault is all set to launch the new Captur in the car market of India. The new Renault Captur SUV was expected to launch this month during the Diwali period, but that did not happen and it is now set to launch in November. As per the latest reports, the Renault Captur will have its official market launch in India on 6th of November, 2017. Renault has already started sending the Captur SUV to its authorized dealerships outlets across the country.

    French automaker Renault is all set to launch the new Captur in the car market of India. The new Renault Captur SUV was expected to launch this month during the Diwali period, but that did not happen and it is now set to launch in November. As per the latest reports, the Renault Captur will have its official market launch in India on 6th of November, 2017. Renault has already started sending the Captur SUV to its authorized dealerships outlets across the country.

     

    The Renault Captur SUV was officially unveiled in India by the company last month. The Captur will be offered as a premium model in India and will be positioned above the popular Renault Duster SUV. The India-spec model of the Captur will be based on the same M0 platform as that of the Duster and will be sharing many other parts. However, in terms of styling and features, the Captur will be a much more premium model than the Duster.

     

    The new Renault Captur comes with an alluring design language that is highly contemporary, stylish and curvaceous rather than the boxy styling of the conventional SUVs. When dimensions are concerned, the Renault Captur is also very similar to the Duster. The Captur is 4,329 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,613 mm in height. It rides on a wheelbase measuring exactly same as the Duster, which 2,673 mm. The Captur also comes with a good ground clearance of 210 mm as against the 205 ground clearance offered by the Duster SUV.

     

    The Renault Captur’s captivating exterior design is further enhanced with nice premium features such as LED headlights along with daytime running lights, large stylish 17 inch alloy wheels and more. On the inside, the Captur is equally premium and well designed. The SUV’s cabin comes braced with various impressive features including leather upholstery for the seats, 7 inch touchscreen display integrated infotainment system, pushbutton start/stop system and rear parking camera. Other noteworthy features include cruise control, automatic climate control, hill start assist and many more depending on the model. When safety measures are concerned, the Captur will be coming braced with safety equipments such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist and much more.

     

    Under the hood, the new Renault Captur will be coming powered with the same 1.5 litre diesel and 1.5 litre petrol engine that also do the duty under the hood of the Duster. While the diesel motor offers 110 PS of power, the petrol mill generates 106 PS. Both the engines will be coming with paired with a 6 speed manual transmission initially. Renault India is expected to offer the automatic variant and all four wheel drive option of the Captur at a later date.

    Post its Indian launch, the new Renault Captur SUV will be locking its horns with models like the Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Hexa and the likes. The Captur is expected to come with a price range of around Rs. 12 lakhs to 15 lakhs.
