French automaker, Renault experienced mega success with its Kwid. While, the French car maker is yet to gain good amount of market shares in the country and recently revealed the discontinuation of as many as four models in India due to poor sales, the Kwid has been a brilliant exception. In fact, Kwid has made Renault a household name in India and is the only remarkable success for the company after the popular Duster SUV. The Renault Kwid entry-level hatchback is also by far more popular and more successful than its SUV sibling Duster. Renault wishes to gain sustainable market shares in India and is working on an aggressive strategy for this highly potential car market. The Indian market forms an important part of Renault’s global strategy, and the company has revealed its strategic decision to expand the Kwid range to four models.
