The price hike on the Triber ranges from Rs 4,000 on the RXL variant to Rs 13,000 on the base-spec RXE variant.
Under the hood, the Renault Triber gets a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine making 72PS of maximum power and 96Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. Renault is also expected to introduce the turbocharged version of the 1.0-litre engine on the Triber in the future.
In terms of features, the Triber gets front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tilt-adjustable steering, push-button start, manual AC with rear AC vents, cooled storage in central console and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a rear parking camera. The Triber also gets a modular seating arrangement which allows the removal of the last row of seats when not in use.
The Triber has only one direct rival in the form of Datsun GO+. Price-wise, it rivals the Maruti Swift, Grand i10 Nios and the Ford Figo.
