Mahindra has revealed the first image of the Marazzo dashboard. The Indian automaker recently announced ‘Marazzo’ as the name for its upcoming MPV codenamed as U321 earlier. The official Facebook page of the Mahindra Marazzo posted an image of the full dashboard of the MPV.
According to the revealed images, the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo gets a flat-faced dual-tone dashboard with a gloss black fascia, while housing a touchscreen infotainment screen in the centre, with the air-conditioning vents having chrome surrounds. On the other hand, the lower part of the dashboard features two L-shaped silver trim pieces. The interior of the MPV also offers a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with a central MID, while the dials have a purple backlight. Also, a closer look at the screen reveals that the infotainment system will come with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it is expected that it will also double as a display for the reverse camera.
The Marazzo will also be the first Mahindra to use Mahindra’s new 1.5-litre diesel engine that will produce around 121 hp of maximum power and 300 Nm of torque. The engines will initially come mated to a six-speed manual unit, as seen in the interior image. Also, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors and airbags will be standard across all the variants of the upcoming Marazzo.
The manufacturer has already confirmed that the Marazzo will be offered in both 7 and 8 seater configurations and will be offering the roof-mounted ‘surround-cool’ AC vents, and also the fact that the MPV will feature leatherette upholstery. The Mahindra Marazzo is based on a new monocoque chassis developed in collaboration with the Mahindra North American Technical Centre (MNATC) and Mahindra Research Valley (MRV), Chennai. It will be built at Mahindra's Nasik plant and is slated to be launched during the festive season in the Indian market.
