Skoda Enyaq iV Electric Crossover Spied In India | V3Cars

After tasting success with the Kushaq crossover and Slavia sedan, it looks like Skoda are getting ready to bring the Enyaq iV electric crossover. A few spy shots of the Enyaq iV in India recently surfaced online hinting at a potential launch.

Skoda Enyaq iV is the Czech carmaker’s first all-electric crossover. It shares its MEB platform with Volkswagen ID4 and Audi Q4 e-tron. The spied model was the top-spec 80x trim with 4-wheel-drive. Globally, the Skoda Enyaq iV comes with three battery sizes and 5 power outputs with a choice of rear- and four-wheel-drive.

In the top-spec guise, the Enyaq iV comes with a 77kWh battery pack with four-wheel-drive. The twin electric motors of the Enyaq iV produce 265PS of power and 425Nm of torque. With the 4-wheel-drive, the Enyaq iV offers a claimed range of 460km whereas the same stands at 510km with the rear-wheel-drive option.

On the design front, the Enyaq iV stands on the pillars of the Kodiaq crossover. Up front, it gets the signature Skoda grille and LED headlights. The lower part of the bumper gets small air ducts to cool the floor-mounted batteries and other electrical components. Around the back, the Enyaq iV gets slim LED tail lights Skoda lettering spread across the width of the tail gate.

In terms of features, the Enyaq iV offers a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering wheel, head-up display, shift-by-wire gear selector and artificial leather inlays on dashboard and door cards.

Volkswagen India showcased the ID4 at the 2020 Auto Expo which shares its platform with the Enyaq iV. Volkswagen India are likely to launch the ID4 crossover soon which is likely to be followed by the launch of the Enyaq iV. The Enyaq and ID4 will go up against the upcoming Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the recently launched Kia EV6.
