Along with the BS6-II upgrade, Skoda also announced that they have made their cars compatible with E20 (flex fuel with 20% ethanol blend). In the next few years, our government intends to make the E20 fuel the basic fuel at all petrol stations in the country. This will cut down our dependence on 20% of the imported fuel as the local biofuel industry will meet that requirement. Currently, the petrol we buy at fuel stations contains 10% ethanol, which doesn’t require any change in the engine’s cylinder walls and fueling.
