Skoda Kushaq Style With 2 Airbags Discontinued | V3Cars

Skoda India have discontinued the Kushaq’s Style variant with 2 airbags. The Kushaq Style now offers 6 airbags as standard. Skoda India launched the Kushaq Style with 6 airbags in November with an incremental cost of Rs. 40,000 over the Style variant with 2 airbags. Since then, Skoda India have hiked the prices of the MY2022 Kushaq by up to Rs. 50,000.

With these changes, the Skoda Kushaq now gets 2 airbags in the Active and Ambition trims and 6 airbags as standard on the top Style variant. The rest of the features of the Kushaq Style remain the same as before, with no added options. In terms of features, the Kushaq offers an electric sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and touch-based climate controls.

On the powertrain front, the Kushaq comes with two engine options – 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol. The 1.0L engine produces 115PS of power and 175Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 1.5L engine produces 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Skoda Kushaq range now starts from Rs. 10.99 lakh and goes to Rs. 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It takes on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Volkswagen Taigun.
