Tadpole Projects have converted a 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C-180 petrol into a fully-electric premium sedan. It offers a range of 150km on a single charge and a top speed of 90kmph. Tadpole Projects have stated that the range and top speed can be increased to 250km and 150kmph, respectively, based on the needs of the client. Currently, the car supports AC charging, which takes 5-6 hours for a full charge. However, Tadpole Projects also have provisions for DC fast charging.
In addition to that, the electric C-Class gets features like GPS, geo-fencing, and performance assessment. Tadpole Projects are offering a 3-year warranty on the battery and a 2-year warranty on the EV kit. Tadpole Projects have also stated that it can retrofit electric drivetrains in buses, cranes, and heavy construction equipment.

Tadpole Projects are a subsidiary of Trouve Motors, which will soon announce their range of electric vehicles. Trouve Motors’ upcoming products could include a sports electric bike and an electric coupe SUV. Tadpole Projects earlier retrofitted an electric drivetrain into a Volkswagen Beetle.
