With the launch of the Curvv Series X, Tata have made the Dark variants considerably more accessible. The Curvv Dark now starts with the Pure X Plus at Rs. 11.99 lakh, compared with Rs. 16.06 lakh for the most affordable Dark variant of the old Curvv. Dark variants are also now available at 4 different equipment levels instead of only the top 2.

The Series X Dark range includes the Pure X Plus, Creative X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus.
*The Accomplished X Plus Dark gets the more powerful 1.2L GDI turbo petrol engine instead of the 1.2L MPFI turbo petrol offered with the lower variants. It is available only with the petrol-DCT or diesel-DCT powertrains.
The Pure X Plus Dark costs Rs. 20,000 more than the corresponding regular variant, while the Creative X Plus, Accomplished X and Accomplished X Plus Dark variants cost Rs. 25,000 more.
This is the more significant change. On the old Curvv, the Dark treatment was restricted to the top 2 variants - Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus A. The least expensive option was the Accomplished S Dark with the 1.2L GDI turbo petrol-manual at Rs. 16.06 lakh.

The Series X Pure X Plus Dark starts at Rs. 11.99 lakh, bringing the entry point down by Rs. 4.07 lakh. Now buyers no longer need to buy one of the most expensive Curvv variants to get the Dark treatment.
Dark remains primarily an appearance package over the corresponding regular variant.

On the Pure X Plus Dark, Tata replace the regular light-coloured cabin with a black (Obsidian) interior treatment, including the leatherette seats, steering wheel, centre-console armrest and gear lever.
Outside, it gets black (Carbon Black) paint, Dark-specific details and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Higher Dark variants retain the wheel sizes appropriate to their corresponding equipment level.
The outgoing Curvv offered Dark only with the Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus A. Series X doubles that to 4 trims:

That makes the biggest change to the Dark lineup fairly straightforward: it is no longer something buyers have to spend their way to the top of the Curvv range to get.
