Tata Curvv Spotted Again

The Tata Curvv, which was unveiled as a concept SUV at the Auto Expo 2023 early this year, is expected to go on sale in early 2024. When launched, the Tata Curvv EV will rival the likes of the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV while the Curvv ICE will rival C-segment SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Honda Elevate, among others.

The latest spy shots of the Tata Curvv suggest that the coupe SUV is close to production. Based on Curvv spy shots over the past year, we can safely assume that the production-spec coupe SUV will feature vertically stacked LED headlamps and full width LED DRLs with sequential turn indicators just like the new Nexon SUV. The coupe-like roofline will be unique to the segment while the latest spy shots also suggest it could get flush-type door handles, a feature popularised by the Mahindra XUV700. Expect the production-spec Tata Curvv to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels.

As far as features inside the cabin are concerned, expect the Tata Curvv to offer a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based HVAC controls on the centre console. We expect the cabin of the Curvv to share a few bits and pieces with the new Nexon as well as the Harrier facelift. Based on Tata’s latest offerings, we expect the Curvv to also offer wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVMs, 360-degree parking camera as well as a sunroof.

As reported earlier, the Tata Curvv will be offered as an EV first. While the exact specifications haven’t been revealed yet, we expect the Curvv EV to offer better performance and range than Tata’s current flagship electric vehicle, the Nexon EV. Later, the Tata Curvv will be launched with Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine as well as the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that powers the new Nexon diesel.
