    Tata Nexon EV Subscription Prices Reduced For A Limited Period

    Tata Motors announced subscription plans for the Nexon EV in August 2020. This monthly subscription was offered in collaboration with Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Limited at a starting price of Rs 41,900. Now, the carmaker has announced a price cut of up to Rs 7,400 for the subscription and it now starts at Rs 34,900. Tata has also said that this offer is valid till November 2020 and will be applicable for the first 100 customers only.

    Along with the reduction of the monthly subscription price, Tata has also reduced the minimum duration of the subscription. While earlier the minimum duration of subscription was set at 18 months, it is now fixed at 12 months. Here is a detailed list of revised prices with tenures:

    Other benefits offered on leasing the Nexon EV have remained unchanged. The subscribers will continue to get free comprehensive insurance coverage, free roadside assistance, free periodic servicing, free doorstep delivery and free installation of the charger at their homes or offices. And once the subscription ends, the customer will be given an option to either opt-out or extend the subscription. The subscriber can even put in a request to buy the electric SUV.

    The subscription service will continue to be available in five cities only including Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. 

    Tata offers only the mid-spec XZ+ variant on the subscription which is priced at Rs 14,99 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets features such as projector headlamps with DRLs, shark fin antenna, 16-inch alloys, auto AC with rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, all four power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, 60:40 split rear seats, digital instrument cluster, parking camera and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features on offer include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The Nexon EV also gets some connected features with the Tata Motors Zconnect App. 

    The Nexon EV is powered by an electric motor producing 129PS and 245Nm of torque. It draws power from a 30.2 kWh Li-ion battery pack and has a claimed range of 312km. Tata claims that the Nexon EV can be charged up to 80 per cent in 60 minutes through a DC fast charger while it takes 8.5 hours to charge it to 90 per cent through a 15A plug.
