Tata Punch Becomes The Fastest SUV To Achieve 1 Lakh Sales In Just 10 Months | V3Cars

Tata Motors launched the Punch B2-segment SUV in October 2022. 10 months since, the Punch has achieved the 1 lakh sales, making it the fastest SUV to achieve this milestone.

We would have loved to see Tata Motors celebrate this achievement with a new addition to the Punch range. For instance, a turbo petrol engine that would have added the needed punch (pun intended), or a CNG option for buyers worried about rising fuel prices.

The Punch is the latest offering from Tata Motors and it comes loaded to the brim with features.

Take a look at the unique features of the Tata Punch:

7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Cruise control
Automatic headlights
Rain-sensing wipers
Reverse parking camera
Rear armrest
Keyless entry with push-button start/stop
16-inch machined alloy wheels

On the powertrain front, the Punch borrows its 1.2L normal petrol engine from the Tiago, Tigor and Altroz. It produces 86PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3300rpm. It comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). We expect Tata Motors to soon offer a turbo petrol engine along with a CNG option as well. Needless to say, the modular platform of the Tata Punch also supports electrification and a Punch EV is currently in the pipeline.
