Tata Motors has launched a new range topping variant in the Tiago line- up. Called as XZ+, the top- of- the- line trim comes with a host of additional features, adding to its premium quotient. The Tiago XZ+ is priced from Rs 5.57 lakh for the petrol variant in a single- tone paint shade. It also gets two new exterior paint shades – Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. The variant also comes with a dual- tone exterior option that includes a gloss- black roof and rear spoiler.
Commenting on the launch of the range- topping Tiago XZ+ trim, S N Barman – Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Support, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said – “Since its launch in 2016, the TIAGO – our first product to be launched under the IMPACT design language; stood out as an attractive, innovative and feature loaded car. In terms of designing and features, the newly launched Tata Tiago XZ+ gets 15” dual tone alloy wheels with the petrol engine option only, Chrome accent on tailgate and Body side molding at the exterior. On the other hand, the interior offers ConnectNext 7”(17.78cm) touchscreen system by Harman™, Android Auto ™ connectivity, Voice command recognition through Android Auto ™, Incoming SMS notifications & read outs and Digital controls for FATC along with Fully Automatic Temperature control, Projector headlamps with smoked black bezel as well as Electrically folding ORVM with welcome function.
Like the other Tiago variants, the XZ+ continues to sport the same dimensions, standing 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width and 1,535 mm in height. Though, the trim gets additional features at exterior and interior, the powertrain option remains the same with a 1.2- litre petrol engine and a 1.05- litre diesel unit. The petrol motor is capable of 84 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine churns out 69 bhp of maximum power and 140 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 5- speed manual gearbox. The Tiago is also available with a 5- speed AMT, but the automaker offers it only with the petrol engine.
With this launch, the Tata Tiago is available in nine variants now- XB, XE, XE (O), XM, XM (O), XT, XT (O), XZ and XZ+ with prices ranging between Rs 3.39 lakh and go up to Rs 6.31 lakh (ex- showroom, Delhi). Other features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and corner stability control as standard along with front fog lamps, all-four power windows and cooled glovebox.
