    Tata Tigor AMT Launched At INR 5.75 Lakh

    After creating the buzz in the market for quite some time, Tata Motors has finally launched the AMT variant of the petrol-spec Tigor compact sedan. The prices of the Tata Tigor AMT start at Rs 5.75 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and go all the way up to Rs 6.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This means that the customers will have to pay Rs 40,000 more than the manual version to get the Tata Tigor AMT.  Before the launch of AMT version, the sedan was available with a five-speed manual transmission only.

    Speaking at the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Head- Marketing, PVBU, Tata Motors said, “Given the current traffic scenario and growing driver fatigue levels, an AMT is the perfect solution to bringing back the joy of driving in a city, without compromising on fuel efficiency. As per our turnaround strategy, we are working with a renewed focus and energy to improve our market share and bring products that align with customers’ aspirational and practical requirements. Keeping with the trend of this growing segment, we introduced the AMT variants of the hatchback TIAGO, which has so far received a tremendous response. Now, with the TIGOR AMT, we continue to reach out to our customers with stylish and feature loaded products that offer best-in-class technology and design engineering.”


    Apart from the introduction of the AMT, there is no change in the specification or the features of the Tiago derivative Tigor. The sedan still comes with the same 1.2-litre Revotron engine that produces a maximum power of 85 bhp and a peak torque of 114 Nm and the engine now comes mated to a five-speed AMT. also, there is no change in the fuel efficiency. The sedan continues to return a fuel efficiency of 20kmpl on highways and 16kmpl on city roads with AMT as well.


    The new Tata Tigor AMT is available in two trims- XTA and XZA priced at Rs 5.75 lakh and Rs 6.22 lakh, respectively. In terms of features, while the base Tata Tigor XTA offers Full wheel covers for 14-inch steel wheels, Infotainment System, Bluetooth, Navigation, Four Speakers, Steering-mounted Audio Controls, Rear Parking Sensors, Two Airbags, ABS and EBD, the top end XZA comes with additional 5.0-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System, Four Speakers and Two Tweeters, Reverse Camera, Automatic Climate Control and 15-inch alloy wheels along with all the base variant features.
