Bookings for the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition have begun at the Toyota dealerships. Meanwhile, if you want to reserve it via Toyota’s official website, this option will become available in the next few days. Expect the Fortuner Leader Edition to carry a slightly higher price than the standard Fortuner 2WD variant.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition: What’s New?

The 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition offers a sportier and more dynamic look compared to the standard Fortuner. Toyota have made several cosmetic and feature upgrades to make the SUV more distinctive and premium.

The new Leader Edition gets a reworked front grille design, complemented by front and rear bumper spoilers with chrome garnish for a more aggressive stance. It also receives dual-tone paint options with a black roof, a signature bonnet emblem, and black alloy wheels.

Colour options for the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition include:

• Attitude Black
• Super White
• Pearl White
• Silver

Each of these can be specified in a dual-tone combination for a more premium look.

Interior & Feature Additions

Inside, the Fortuner Leader Edition gets a black and maroon dual-tone cabin that adds a touch of sportiness. The door trims follow the same dual-tone theme, and the addition of illuminated scuff plates adds a subtle premium detail.

Toyota have also added a few convenience and safety features, such as:

• Auto-folding outside mirrors
• Wireless charger
• Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

These enhancements complement the already feature-rich interior of the Fortuner, which continues to offer touchscreen infotainment, ventilated seats (in select variants), and connected car tech.

Engine And Transmission Options

Under the bonnet, the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition continues with Toyota’s 2.8L turbo-diesel engine equipped with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). The engine delivers 204PS of power and 420Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual transmission. When equipped with the 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic transmission, the peak torque jumps to 500Nm.

The Leader Edition is available in rear-wheel drive (4x2) configuration only. There is no petrol or 4WD option in this version.
