VW Virtus GT Plus Edge Edition In Matte Grey Colour Launched At Rs. 17.62 Lakh | V3Cars

Last month Volkswagen India, opened bookings for the Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection with a matte dark grey paint option. Now, the carmaker has launched the new paint option for the Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection at a starting price of Rs. 17.62 lakh. Let’s take a closer look.

VW Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection Now With Matte Paint

As the name suggests, the Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection is only available in limited numbers. In fact, VW’s website claims the GT Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection finished in Deep Black Pearl paint is already sold out. The carmaker opened bookings for the Matte Dark Grey paint option last month and have now launched it at a price of Rs. 17.62 lakh for the manual variant and Rs. 19.30 lakh for the dual-clutch automatic variant. The Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection with the matte paint job costs Rs. 20,000 more than the deep black pearl option and Rs. 40,000 more than the standard GT Plus.

Speaking of the exterior highlights of the Matte Grey Edition, it offers an exclusive matte grey colour, red highlights on the front bumper and doors, red brake callipers, gloss black ORVMs and black roof. On the inside, it offers an all-black dashboard with a satin grey finish along with red ambient lighting. Interested buyers can book the Virtus GT Plus Edge Limited Collection through Volkswagen’s website and units will be dispatched on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Virtus GT is offered with a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 150PS of power at 6000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3500rpm. It comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine also offers active cylinder deactivation that shuts off 2 of the 4 cylinders when cruising at a constant speed to aid fuel efficiency.
