Tata Motors recently launched the Altroz CNG to their portfolio. The Altroz CNG offered a few new variants with a sunroof. While the same made it to the list of normal petrol variants, the turbo petrol and turbo diesel powertrains didn’t get the XZ Plus OS variant. Here’s why!

Tata showcased the Altroz Racer Edition at the Auto Expo 2023. The same is likely to become the range-topping turbo petrol variant of the Altroz hatchback. It gets the following notable additional features, which are currently not available in the Altroz:
With these performance and feature upgrades, the Altroz turbo petrol should have enough ammo to challenge the i20 turbo. The only major concern, which could bug the Altroz Racer buyers, is the lack of an automatic transmission. The regular i20 and the i20 N Line have the option of a 7-speed DCT automatic. The Altroz Racer will fill the void of the top-spec XZ Plus OS turbo variant. We expect Tata to launch the Racer before the 2023 festive season.
