The pros or advantages of Hyundai Aura are:

• Mid-spec variants offer tremendous value for money along with a good number of must-have features

The Hyundai Aura has the following shortcomings or problems:

What Is The Price Of 2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift Petrol And CNG Variants?

The 2023 Aura facelift is available in 4 variants. With the petrol-manual powertrain, it has a starting price of Rs. 6.30 lakh and it tops out at Rs. 8.58 lakh. The petrol-automatic powertrain is only available in the SX Plus variant and it costs Rs. 8.73 lakh.

You also have the option of buying the Aura facelift with the CNG-manual bi-fuel powertrain in the mid variants. The Aura S CNG costs Rs. 8.10 lakh while the SX CNG costs Rs. 8.87 lakh. These prices are Rs. 95,000 higher than the respective petrol-manual variants.

2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift E - Base Model Features

The base E variant of the Hyundai Aura only comes with the 1.2L normal petrol engine and a manual transmission. It costs Rs. 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom) and gets the following notable standard features:

• 4x airbags
• 14-inch steel wheels
• Body-coloured bumpers
• Manual AC
• Front Power windows
• LED tail lamps
• 2x cabin lamps

In the base variant of the Aura, you might miss features like:

The base variant of the Aura doesn’t get some must-have features. So, we won’t recommend even budget buyers to get the base model. Instead, you should stretch your budget for at least the S variant, which completely justifies the upgrade cost over the E variant and offers a far better ownership experience.

2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift E vs S Variant - Price, Feature Comparison

Besides the 1.2L petrol-manual, the Aura S also gets the petrol-automatic and CNG-manual powertrains. It costs Rs. 7.15 lakh with the petrol-manual powertrain and is Rs. 85,400 pricier than the base variant. With the CNG powertrain, this variant costs Rs. 8.10 lakh, which is Rs. 95,000 higher than the comparable petrol-manual.

The S variant of the 2023 Aura facelift gets the following additional features over the base E variant:

• Tyre pressure sensors (TPMS)
• Day/night inside mirror
• Body-coloured outside mirror and door handles
• Music system
• 4x speakers
• Steering-mounted controls
• Tilt steering
• Rear AC vents
• Rear armrest

You may still miss a few features like:

With both options, this variant offers a good balance of must-have features and value for money. For budget buyers, the upgrade to S is completely justified and highly recommended. However, if you want the features of the higher variant or you want better value for money, then the upgrade to S variant is an obvious choice and an easy recommendation.

2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift Petrol S vs SX Variant - Price, Feature Comparison

The SX variant of the Aura costs Rs. 7.92 lakh with the petrol-manual powertrain and it’s Rs. 77,400 more expensive than the S petrol-manual. The SX Plus petrol-automatic is another Rs. 80,200 pricier and costs Rs. 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The SX CNG costs Rs. 8.87 lakh.

The SX variant adds the following features over the lower S variant:

• Halogen projector headlamps (SX Plus automatic only)
• Auto AC (SX Plus automatic only)
• 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple Carplay
• Power folding mirrors
• Cruise control (petrol only)
• ESC, HSA
• Rear defogger
• Rear camera

This variant gets several good-to-have features and offers a similar value for money as the lower S variant. So, if you find the features of the SX variant valuable, then you can buy it knowing well that you’re getting a good value for money. However, from a usability and value point of view, the Aura S remains our top recommendation.

2023 Hyundai Aura Facelift Petrol SX vs SX (O) Variant - Price, Feature Comparison

The Aura SX (O) top model is only available with the petrol-manual powertrain. The SX (O) variant of the new Aura costs Rs. 8.58 lakh and is Rs. 65,500 pricier than the lower SX petrol variant.

Over the SX variant, the Aura top model offers additional features like:

• 2x curtain airbags
• Wireless phone charger
• Halogen projector headlamps
• Auto AC
• Auto headlamps

Even in the top model, you may miss front and rear armrests. Otherwise, it’s fairly well loaded.

Just like the S and SX variants, the SX (O) is also a value upgrade and it almost entirely justifies the price gap from the lower SX variant. If you find the top model’s features useful and can afford to buy it, then the upgrade is worth considering.

Which Variant Of The Hyundai Aura Petrol, CNG Should You Buy?

For the Aura petrol buyers, the S variant is our top recommendation. If you wish to have some more features, then the higher SX and SX (O) are also worth considering without compromising greatly on the value front. Unfortunately, the Aura petrol-automatic buyers don’t have that luxury and have only the SX Plus trim, which is also a decent value option.

 

 

Similarly, with the CNG-manual powertrain, the S variant of the Aura is our top pick. But the upgrade to the SX variant is also worth considering for the incremental cost.

What Are The Engine Specifications Of The Hyundai Aura Petrol And CNG?

The Aura has a 1.2L normal petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. This engine makes 83PS of power and 114Nm of torque while offering around 20kmpl mileage. Its specs are on par with most of its rivals. Just like its prime rivals, the Aura also has the petrol engine with the manual as well as an AMT-type automatic transmission option. The Dzire maintains its top spot with a class-leading mileage figure of more than 22kmpl.

The Aura CNG makes 69PS of power and 95Nm of torque, which is, again, on par with its rivals. Its mileage figure of 27.3kmpkg is middle-of-the road compared to the Tiago and Swift, which offer slightly lower and slightly higher mileage, respectively.

What Are The Dimensions Of The New Hyundai Aura Facelift?

In terms of the dimensions, the Aura is larger than the Tiago and Ignis but shorter than the Swift. It has a fairly long wheelbase and a respectable ground clearance and boot space of 165mm and 260 litres, respectively.
