The pros or advantages of Maruti Suzuki Invicto hybrid are:
The Maruti Invicto hybrid petrol has the following shortcomings or problems:
The Maruti Invicto is only available with a 2.0L hybrid petrol-automatic powertrain in 2 variants. The Zeta Plus variant is available with 7-seater and 8-seater variants. The 7-seat Zeta variant with the captain seats in the 2nd row costs Rs. 24.79 lakh. The 8-seat variant with the bench seat costs Rs. 5,000 more. The higher Alpha Plus variant costs Rs. 28.42 lakh, which is Rs. 3.63 lakh more than the base trim.
The base model of the Invicto hybrid costs Rs. 24.79 lakh if you get it with the captain chairs in the second seat with a 7-seat configuration. If you want the 8-seat layout with a bench seat in the 2nd row, then it’ll cost you Rs. 5,000 more as it carries an ex-showroom price of Rs. 24.84 lakh.
The Invicto’s Zeta Plus variant has the following safety and infotainment features:
In terms of functional and style features, it gets the following features as standard:
For a car of this size and price point, we wish it also offered the following features:
Considering that it costs almost Rs. 25.0 lakh (ex-showroom), it gets enough features to feel almost complete. Moreover, in terms of value for money, it beats the higher Alpha Plus variant also. So, it’s suitable for most buyers. If you want it with the 8-seat configuration, then the Zeta Plus is your only option.
The Alpha Plus variant costs Rs. 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 3.63 lakh more than the base Zeta Plus model with 7 seats. This variant is not available with a bench in the 2nd row.
In the Invicto’s top model, you will get the following safety and style features:
For infotainment and functional purposes, you get the following features in the Invicto top model:
Even in the loaded Alpha Plus variant of the Invicto, you may miss the following features:
Although it doesn’t completely justify the incremental asking price for the additional features and doesn’t get a few features we wish it had, the Alpha Plus variant earns our top recommendation. It will offer a good ownership experience and isn’t absurdly overpriced over the Zeta Plus. so, we’ll suggest you take a small hit in terms of value for money and buy the Alpha Plus if you don’t need the bench seat.
In terms of value, the base Zeta Plus variant of the Invicto is a better option. But since you’re spending a fairly large amount of money on a big car, we’ll suggest you get the Alpha Plus. It justifies around 85% of the incremental cost over the base model with the additional features. So, you’re not compromising a lot in terms of value either for a much improved ownership experience.
If you want the Invicto with the bench seat in the middle row, then the Zeta Plus is your only option.
The Invicto shares 2.0L hybrid petrol engine with the Hycross. So, naturally, its power and torque output are identical. But, in terms of fuel efficiency, the Invicto offers an ARAI mileage figure of 23.24kmpl while the Hycross claims to deliver 21.10kmpl. In this area, the Invicto has around 10% better mileage than the Hycross despite using the same powertrain with identical performance figures.
Compared to the other rivals, the Invicto’s performance figures are lower. However, being a hybrid powertrain, it manages to offer instant torque from the electric motor at near-idle RPMs. So, the spec sheet doesn’t paint a clear picture when comparing a hybrid powertrain with a normal petrol or a turbo petrol engine.

Since the Invicto is based on the Innova Hycross, it measures exactly the same as the Hycross. It’s only a smidgen longer. The other notable difference is in terms of the wheel sizes. The Hycross gets 16, 17 and 18-inch wheel options. Meanwhile, the Invicto has only 17-inch wheels in both variants.
The Hycross and Invicto twins are the longest in the segment and have the longest wheelbase too. But, the Scorpio N is the tallest as it’s the only body-on-frame car in this segment.
