Yeh Mercedes-Benz Ne Kya Kar Diya?
Team V3Cars brings you the real-world range test and first drive review of the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA EV. With an 85.5kWh battery pack and a claimed WLTP range of 792km, this new electric sedan promises exceptional efficiency of around 9km per kWh. But can it actually achieve such numbers in real-world driving conditions?
In this video, we test the CLA EV’s efficiency in Bengaluru to find out if it can realistically deliver close to 800km of range. Instead of draining the battery completely, we drive the car over a controlled distance and use the displayed efficiency to predict its full-charge range.
The new CLA EV also introduces several interesting technologies from Mercedes-Benz, including a 2-speed transmission, rear-wheel drive layout, and an 800-volt electric architecture that supports ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 320kW. The car produces 272PS of power, accelerates from 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds, and is designed to deliver both performance and long-distance efficiency.
We also explore the CLA EV’s driving experience, interior technology, infotainment system, design, and practicality to see whether it can become one of the most appealing personal cars in its expected price range of around ₹55 lakh to ₹60 lakh.
