BYD India announced the launch of the all-new Sealion 7 electric SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Bookings for the Sealion 7 are currently open and we expect the carmaker to reveal the variant-wise prices of the electric SUV in March 2025. 2025 BYD Sealion 7 Bookings Open
As part of the promotional booking offer, BYD are accepting Sealion 7 bookings for a token amount of Rs. 77,000. The offer also includes benefits worth Rs. 70,000 along with additional warranty and a complimentary 7kW home charger with free installation for the first 70 customers.
2025 BYD Sealion 7 Design And Features
The BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV adopts BYD’s OceanX design language, incorporating X-shaped motifs seen on the Seal sedan. The coupe-SUV shares design elements with the Seal, including similar headlights and connected taillights, but features more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers. The Sealion 7 measures over 4.8 meters in length and has a 2930mm wheelbase.
Exterior colour options for the 2025 BYD Sealion 7 include:
- Cosmos Black
- Atlantis Grey
- Aurora White
- Shark Grey.
Inside, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a familiar feature in other BYD models, dominates the dashboard, controlling most vehicle functions. Other highlights include:
- Floating instrument cluster
- Ventilated front seats
- Power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory function
- Panoramic glass roof
- 50W wireless phone charger
- Head-up display (HUD)
- Connected car technology
- Powered tailgate
- Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability
Safety features on the Sealion 7 include 11 airbags and an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) suite.

2025 BYD Sealion 7 Powertrain Specs
BYD are offering the 2025 Sealion 7 in 2 variants – Premium and Performance. Both variants get an 82.5kWh battery pack as standard. Take a look at their powertrain specs in the table below:
2025 BYD Sealion 7 Expected Price And Rivals
The BYD Sealion 7 will be positioned above the Seal electric sedan in the brand’s Indian portfolio. While the Seal is priced from Rs. 41 lakh to Rs. 53 lakh (ex-showroom), the Sealion 7 is expected to start from around Rs. 60 lakh. When launched, the BYD Sealion 7 will rival the likes of the Kia EV6 facelift, which too was revealed at the Auto Expo 2025.
