Hyundai have showcased their flagship electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in India. This 3-row EV boasts advanced features and a claimed range of up to 620km. Take a look at the top highlights of the 2025 Ioniq 9 eSUV.

The 2025 Ioniq 9 SUV is offered with a large 110.3kWh battery pack. It is available in 2 variants – Performance and Long-Range. The Long-Range variant is available with either rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration while the Performance variant is only available with AWD. Take a look at the exact specification of each Ioniq 9 variant in the table below:
The Ioniq 9 Long Range variant offers a claimed driving range of 620km on a single charge. All variants of the Ioniq 9 can chare from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger.
The Ioniq 9 features vertically stacked headlights with pixel-like elements and an LED strip serving as daytime running lights (DRLs). The typically EV-style closed grille houses the radar sensor for the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). A dual-tone silver and black finish on the lower bumper adds visual contrast.
The profile showcases 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, with optional upgrades to 21-inch units. Cameras replace traditional ORVMs (outside rearview mirrors), and roof rails are positioned closer to the roofline to minimise drag. Flush-type door handles, body-coloured wheel arches, and a black lower door strip complete the side view.
The rear features vertically stacked LED taillights with matching pixel elements. A high-mounted stop lamp connects the taillight units. The rear bumper also incorporates the silver and black two-tone design and houses pixel-shaped rear fog lamps.

The Ioniq 9’s interior features a dual-tone theme and a layered, minimalist dashboard design. A prominent curved panel integrates 2 digital displays, accompanied by streamlined air vents and a new 3-spoke steering wheel. The center console, detached from the dashboard, houses controls for the electronic parking brake and drive/terrain modes.
Available in 6- or 7-seat configurations with leatherette upholstery and adjustable headrests, the Ioniq 9 prioritises passenger comfort. Front and second-row seats offer massage and ventilation functions and are electrically adjustable. In the 6-seater configuration, the middle-row seats can swivel 180 degrees when the vehicle is stationary.
Technology features include dual 12.3-inch displays (instrumentation and infotainment) and an 8-speaker sound system, upgradable to a 14-speaker Bose system. A panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and a world-first digital antenna for Hyundai are also included.
Safety features comprise up to 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot assist, and a Level 2 ADAS suite with features like forward collision avoidance assist and lane keep assist.
While an official India launch is yet to be confirmed, if introduced, the Ioniq 9 is expected to compete with the Kia EV9, Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, BMW iX, with a potential price tag around Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom).
