Finding the actual age or manufacturing month and year of a vehicle is easier than you think. You can use the VIN, or vehicle identification number, to find the month and year of manufacturing of any vehicle. Every vehicle comes with a VIN, which is easily accessible. In this article, we explain how to read the Renault VIN number and know the month and year of manufacturing of your Renault car or SUV.
A VIN number consists of multiple characters and digits and it could span up to 22 characters. However, the number of characters and digits varies from one carmaker to the next, but there are essentially 2 characters that are required to know the manufacturing date of any vehicle. In the case of Renault cars and SUVs, their VIN number generally consists of 17 characters.
In Renault vehicles, the VIN characters begin mostly with MEE. The 10th character represents the year of manufacturing while the 11th character represents the month of manufacture. You can use the table mentioned below to check the month and year of manufacturing of your Renault vehicle.
