Maruti Suzuki Baleno Vs Hyundai Venue Price Comparison
Let’s first look at the prices of both the cars for the petrol-manual powertrain.
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s prices start at Rs. 6.61 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.33 lakh(ex-showroom). With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Hyundai Venue’s prices start at Rs. 7.77 lakh and top out at Rs. 12.50 lakh(ex-showroom).
The Baleno petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 8.00 lakh to Rs. 9.88 lakh(ex-showroom). The Hyundai Venue petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 11.43 lakh to Rs. 13.18 lakh(ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is not available with a diesel-manual powertrain. The 5 diesel-manual variants of the Hyundai Venue start at Rs. 10.46 lakh and go up to Rs. 13.14 lakh(ex-showroom).
Both the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Venue are not available with a diesel-automatic powertrain.
With the CNG-manual powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s prices start at Rs. 8.35 lakh and top out at Rs. 9.28 lakh(ex-showroom). Hyundai Venue is not available with a CNG engine option.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Vs Hyundai Venue Dimension Comparison
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a hatchback while the Hyundai Venue is an SUV. The Baleno is 3990mm long, 1745mm wide and 1500mm tall. The Baleno’s wheelbase is 2520mm long. The Venue measures 3995mm long, 1770mm wide and 1617mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2500mm. In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is considerably smaller than the Hyundai Venue. So, the Venue will offer a stronger road presence than the Baleno.
The Baleno has a ground clearance of 170mm while the Venue has a ground clearance of 190mm. The 318-litre boot space of the Baleno is 39 litres smaller than that of the Venue.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno only gets a 1.2L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The Baleno’s 1.2L normal petrol engine makes 90PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4400rpm.
The Hyundai Venue is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.2L normal petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The 1.2L normal petrol gets a 5-speed manual while the 1.0L turbo petrol is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
The 1.2L normal petrol engine of the Venue makes 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 114Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the Hyundai Venue pushes out 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 4000rpm.

Maruti does not offer the Baleno with any diesel engine options currently.
The Hyundai Venue is only available with a 1.5L turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 100PS of power at 4000rpm and 240Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is only available with a 1.2L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 77PS of power at 6000rpm and 99Nm of torque at 4300rpm.
Hyundai Venue does not come with a CNG engine option.
