With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio’s prices start at Rs. 5.35 lakh and top out at Rs. 6.58 lakh. The Tata Tiago’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 5.45 lakh and Rs. 6.99 lakh.
The Celerio petrol-automatic is available in 3 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 6.37 lakh to Rs. 7.13 lakh. The Tiago’s 3 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 6.75 lakh and Rs. 7.55 lakh.
The 1 variant CNG-manual variant of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio costs Rs. 6.72 lakh. The Tata Tiago CNG-manual is available in 5 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 6.35 lakh to Rs. 7.90 lakh.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Tata Tiago are both hatchbacks. The Celerio is 3695mm long, 1655mm wide and 1555mm tall. The Celerio’s wheelbase is 2435mm long. The Tiago measures 3765mm long, 1677mm wide and 1535mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2400mm. In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio is slightly smaller than the Tata Tiago. So, the Tiago will offer a stronger road presence than the Celerio.
The Celerio has a ground clearance of 170mm while the Tiago has a ground clearance of 170168mm. The 313-litre boot space of the Celerio is 71 litres larger than that of the Tiago.
The Maruti Suzuki Celerio only gets a 1.0L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The Celerio’s 1.0L normal petrol engine makes 66PS of power at 5500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3500rpm.
The Tata Tiago is only available with a 1.2L normal petrol engine, which is available with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. The Tiago’s 1.2L normal petrol engine makes 86PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3300rpm.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio is only available with a 1.0L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 57PS of power at 5300rpm and 82Nm of torque at 3400rpm.
The Tata Tiago is only available with a 1.L normal CNG engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine makes 73PS of power at 6000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 3500rpm.
