Jeep’s upcoming H6 SUV has been spied in India for the first time. While the test mule was heavily camouflaged revealing not much about the upcoming SUV, its overall silhouette gave away its identity. Although there is no official confirmation, the 7-seater SUV (codename H6) is likely to be sold as the Grand Commander in the global market and the Grand Commander has already been spied in its entirety.

Earlier this year, Jeep confirmed that it is working on a 7-seater SUV for India. Codenamed the H6, the carmaker confirmed that the SUV will go on sale in 2022. While the SUV has already been teased ahead of its debut in the Brazilian market, it was spied testing recently.

Jeep has finally launched made-in-India Wrangler in India. It is now priced from Rs 53.9 lakh to Rs 57.9 lakh (ex-showroom). It costs Rs 11 lakh less than the CBU import version which was on sale in the country earlier.

Now, the carmaker has confirmed that the made-in-India Wrangler will go on sale on 15 March 2021 and the bookings are already underway. Since its launch in 2019, the Wrangler was brought in India as a CBU leading to its higher price. The Wrangler is currently priced from Rs 63.94 lakh to 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and with its localisation, the prices are expected to go down significantly. 

Earlier this year Jeep confirmed that they are working on a 7-seater SUV for the Indian market and it will go on sale by 2022. Now, reports suggest that the SUV will make its global debut later this year ahead of its 2022 launch.
