Jeep SUVs Now BS6 Phase-2 And RDE Compliant

All the Jeep SUVs sold in India — which include the Compass, Trailhawk, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee — now comply with BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission standards. The Compass, Trailhawk and Meridian use a 2.0L turbo diesel engine that produces 170PS of power at 3750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 2500rpm. It comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission and the latter also offers the option of all-wheel-drive. The Compass also offers the option of a 1.4L turbo petrol engine that produces 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 250Nm of torque between 2500rpm and 4000rpm.

The Grand Cherokee and Wrangler SUVs come with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine. It produces 272PS of power at 5150rpm and 400Nm of torque at 3000rpm with the Grand Cherokee. The same engine in the Wrangler offers 268PS of power at 5150rpm and 400Nm of torque at 3000rpm. Both SUVs offer an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive. It is worth mentioning that Jeep are yet to reveal the specifications of the updated engines. However, we do not expect any major changes in the power and torque rating of these engines.

Jeep Wave Exclusive Customer Program

Jeep India have launched a new program called ‘Jeep Wave’ to enhance their customers’ ownership experience. The Wave program is available for all Jeep SUV owners while the warranty package is only applicable for SUVs sold after April 1, 2023.

Here are the key coverage benefits of the Jeep Wave program:

- 3-Year comprehensive warranty

The 3-year comprehensive warranty under the Jeep Wave program covers all the parts and accessories on Jeep products except for fluids and wear and tear parts.

- Jeep Express 90 minute service

The express service provides customer support with 90 minute service assurance. The package also offers scheduled pick up and drop services for all Jeep SUV owners.

- Jeep Courtesy Edge

The Courtesy Edge service promises a loaner Jeep SUV or a mobility solution to Jeep customers if the mechanical repairs take longer than 96 hours.

- Jeep Genius

The Jeep Genius service provides online guidance service to Jeep owners to explore the full potential of their SUVs.

- Jeep Adventure Concierge

The Adventure Concierge will curate experiential off-road adventure drives for all Jeep SUV owners across the country.
