2018 Lexus ES 300h Launched At INR 59.13 Lakh

The Toyota owned luxury brand Lexus has launched the seventh – generation ES 300h hybrid electric sedan in the Indian market. The newly launched luxury sedan has been priced at Rs 59.13 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The 2018 Lexus ES 300h was first showcased at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.

The 2018 Lexus ES is the third vehicle in the 'Future Chapter of Lexus' that started with the LC coupe and LS sedan and replaces its predecessor globally. The next- generation Lexus ES 300h is based on the company's Global Architecture - K (GA-K) platform, which is a derivative of parent company Toyota's TNGA platform and measures 66 mm longer, 5 mm lower and 45 mm wider than the outgoing model with a 50 mm longer wheelbase and wider tracks at front and rear. While the car rides on 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, the boot space too has been increased with 454 litres now.
In terms of design, the newly launched Lexus ES 300h is more flexible in design beign based on the new platform and swith the new spindle grille growing in size up front, while the slim LED headlamps with the distinctive L-shaped clusters that give the sedan a distinctive look. However, at the rear the sedan sports a chiseled profile with the sharp lines and the wraparound LED taillights.
At the interior, the 2018 Lexus ES 300h offers a host of features including console mounted climate and audio controls along with adjustable and heated semi-aniline seats, while the infotainment system includes 17 speaker Mark Levinson Pure Play system as well as a 12.3-inch Electro Multi-Vision (EMV) system, wireless charging, and multiple driving modes.
;Power to the wheels come from the 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that is combined with the brand’s new fourth-generation Lexus Hybrid Drive System. It also features a new fourth generation Hybrid Drive system which is Euro 6 compliant with a combined output of 215 bhp of maximum power and returning a fuel efficiency figure of 22.37 kmpl.
The safety features offered with the 2018 ES 300h include 10 airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Anti-theft system with break-in and tilt sensors, while the color options include Black, Chateau and Topaz Brown at the exterior and the cabin finished in rich cream with wooden trim interior options to choose from. The new Lexus ES 300h rivals the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and the Jaguar XF in the segment.
