Mercedes-Benz, the leading luxury car maker in India has recently launched the new updated Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé in the domestic car market. The new 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé has been priced at Rs. 75 lakhs (ex-showroom, across India), and comes with great features, techs, neat and aggressive looks and of course, the power-packed performance that the AMG brand is celebrated for.
Mercedes-Benz India is known for its aggressive new product launch strategy for the past few years. This is the company’s strategy to ensure its leading position in India and cater to the varying and fast changing preference of the modern luxury car buyers in India. For 2019, Mercedes India started its new launch agenda with the official launch of the V-Class. The V-Class is a massive luxury MPV that the company aims that the country’s business class and luxury feet owners. The luxurious people mover is a fine combination of elegance, class, plush interiors and high amount of practicality, and can serve as a mini conference room on the go or as a lavish lounge-like experience for travelers.
The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé is the second launch this year, and this model is quite the opposite of the V-Class, as it is smaller, meaner, faster and is meant for the auto enthusiasts looking for performance excitement.

Coming from Mercedes’ performance wing AMG, the C43 Coupé’s most important quality is under its hood. The car packs in a 3.0 litre, twin turbocharged V6 engine which also powers the other models in 43-series. The 2019 AMG C43 gets an upgraded version of the V6 mill which is good to generate an impressive 390 hp of max power along with a punchy 520 Nm of peak torque. The car can do the 0-100 km per hour sprint in just 4.7 seconds, while its top speed has been electronically restricted to 250 km per hour.
The refreshed AMG C43 Coupé transmits the generated power to all the four wheels through a sophisticated 9 speed automatic transmission and is empowered with the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. However, this car is more rear-wheel drive centric, as the AWD system directs 69 percent of the torque to the vehicle’s rear wheels. The vehicle also gets AMG’s ‘Ride Control’ suspension in 3 modes - Comfort, Sport and Sport+, while there are 5 Dynamic Select drive modes - Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery and Individual.
The 2019 updated Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé gets an array of premium features including multi-beam LED headlamps, a panoramic sunroof and 18-inch, five-spoke AMG alloy wheels. On the inside the features list includes a whole host of comfort and safety features including sports seats with red seat belts, ambient lighting and a massive 10.25 inch display integrated COMAND infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Currently in India, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé fights with its sole market competitor - theBMW M2 Competition that’s tagged at Rs. 79.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). This makes the AMG C43 Coupé comparatively more affordable.
