2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Variant Details Leaked | V3Cars

Jeep unveiled the 2021 Compass facelift on 7 January 2021 and the carmaker is now all set to launch the SUV on  27 January 2021. While the launch is still a few weeks away, variant-wise details of the SUV have leaked online. 

 

2021 Jeep Compass

As per the document, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will be offered in five variants: Sports, Longitude, Limited, Limited(O) and S. While Jeep has omitted the Limited Plus and the Limited Plus variants, it has introduced the new Limited(O) and S variants. The carmaker has also replaced the Sports Plus variant with the Sports variant. Here is the variant-wise feature list:

Sports:

Longitude (over Sports):

Limited (over Longitude):

  • Auto hold (only on AT)
  • Hill descent control (only on 4x4)
  • Dual-tone exterior

  • Rain sensing wipers
  • 6 airbags (side and curtain airbags)

  • 18-inch alloys

Limited (O) (over Limited): 

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system

S (over Limited (O)):

  • Tyre pressure monitoring system
  • 9-speaker Alpine sound system
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Wireless mobile charging
  • A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster
  • LED projector headlamps
  • Powered co-driver seat.

The leaked document also revealed details of the colour options on offer. It gets Exotic Red, Magnesio Grey, Minimal Gray, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Galaxy Blue (new) and Techno Green (new). 

Under the hood, the Compass facelift will carry forward the same set of engines as before. It gets a 2,0-litre diesel engine that makes 170PS and 350Nm. The petrol engine, on the other hand, is a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol unit making 163PS and 250Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed MT as standard. Where the petrol engine comes with an option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, the diesel engine can be had with a 9-speed torque converter automatic.  

Prices of the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift are expected to range from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. It will take on likes of the Skoda Karoq, Volkswagen T-ROC, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross.
