2021 Skoda Superb Launched At Rs 31.99 Lakh; Gets Additional Features | V3Cars

Skoda launched the Superb facelift in India in May 2020. The carmaker has now updated its flagship sedan for the year 2021. It now gets additional features while things have remained unchanged under the hood.

Over the 2020 Superb, 2021 gets additional features like adaptive LED headlamps, 360-degree camera, handsfree parking, multiple driving modes and an updated version of the 8-inch Amundsen Infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2021 Superb also gets wireless mobile charging and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as standard which were earlier limited to the top-spec L&K variant only. With the update, Skoda has also introduced a new 2-spoke steering on the Superb L&K variant. 

Other features on the Superb remain identical to the 2020 model. It gets a panoramic sunroof, 6 airbags, 3-zone climate control, Canton sound system, auto-dimming IRVM and ORVMs, cruise control, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and ventilated front seats.

Under the hood, the 2021 Superb continues to get the same 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine as before. It makes 190PS and 320Nm paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It has a claimed fuel economy of 15.10 kmpl.

The 2021 Superb is the first launch by Skoda this year. Other Skoda cars that are scheduled go on sale this year include the Kushaq compact SUV (March 2021), new-gen Octavia (mid-2021) and the Rapid successor (late-2021).
