2026 Hyundai i20 N Line DCT Now Limited To Top N8 Variant – N6 DCT, N6 Dual Tone Discontinued | V3Cars
Hyundai have updated the 2026 i20 N Line lineup by removing the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) option from the base N6 variant. With this change, buyers looking for an automatic version of the sporty hatchback can now only opt for the fully-loaded N8 trim.
Apart from the variant rejig, Hyundai have also added a couple of convenience features to the top-spec N8 trim for MY2026.
2026 Hyundai i20 N Line Variants Reduced To 5
Before this update, the i20 N Line was available in 8 variants across manual and DCT gearbox combinations. With the discontinuation of the N6 DCT, the lineup has now been streamlined to 5 variants, including dual-tone options for the top trim.
The discontinued N6 DCT variant was previously priced at Rs. 10.23 lakh (ex-showroom). As a result, customers who want the convenience of the DCT automatic transmission will now need to step up to the N8 DCT variant, which commands a significantly higher premium of Rs. 1.33 lakh over the now discontinued N6 automatic. This move suggests Hyundai may have seen lower demand for the lower-spec automatic variant.

Hyundai Add New Features To i20 N Line N8
Alongside the variant reshuffle, Hyundai have updated the top N8 trim with a few additional features. The MY2026 i20 N Line N8 now gets a built-in dashcam as well as dongle-based wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
These additions improve convenience and help the i20 N Line keep pace with newer rivals and feature-rich premium hatchbacks in the segment.
Other key features of the i20 N Line continue unchanged, including:
- Sporty front and rear bumpers
- Twin-tip exhaust setup
- Red exterior accents
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Digital instrument cluster
- 7-speaker Bose sound system
- Single-pane sunroof
- Connected car tech
Hyundai i20 N Line Powertrain Options
The i20 N Line continues unchanged mechanically. Hyundai offer it with the same 1L turbo petrol engine that produces 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic (N8 only).
The turbo-petrol engine gives the i20 N Line a noticeable performance advantage over regular premium hatchbacks, while the suspension and steering setup are also tuned differently to deliver a sportier driving experience.
