Toyota have revised the prices of the 2026 Fortuner and Legender SUVs in India. The latest price hike affects multiple variants, with prices increased by up to Rs. 83,000 depending on the variant and powertrain option. The revised prices are effective immediately across dealerships.

Following the latest revision, the Fortuner range now starts from Rs. 34.76 lakh to Rs. 43.12 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Legender range now goes from 42.92 lakh to Rs. 48.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Take a look at the old vs new prices of the 2026 Fortuner and Legender in the table below:

The 2026 Toyota Fortuner now costs Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 75,000 more than before depending on the variant and powertrain, while the Legender has become dearer by Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 83,000

Why Have Toyota Increased Fortuner And Legender Prices?

Toyota are yet to announce any feature additions or mechanical changes alongside this latest revision. Hence, the price increase is likely linked to rising input costs, logistics expenses and periodic model-year updates.

The Fortuner and Legender continue to command strong demand in India despite repeated price hikes over the last few years. Their strong brand image, proven reliability and limited direct competition in the ladder-frame SUV segment continue to support premium pricing.

Toyota Fortuner, Legender Engine Options

The Fortuner and Legender continue unchanged mechanically. Toyota offer both SUVs with a 2.7L normal petrol engine and a 2.8L turbo diesel engine.

The 2.7L petrol engine produces 166PS of power and 245Nm of torque and is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.8L diesel engine develops 204PS and up to 500Nm and is offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options, along with 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrains depending on the variant. The Legender, meanwhile, is sold exclusively with the 2.8L diesel engine.

Toyota Fortuner Rivals

The Toyota Fortuner and Legender continue to rival other premium SUVs such as the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. It will also rival the MG Majestor, prices for which are yet to be announced.
