2026 Honda ZR-V Expected Price — With Logic | V3Cars
In this article, we’ll estimate the ex-showroom price range of the upcoming ZRV — Honda’s SUV to compete against Skoda and Volkswagen flagship SUVs. In the same segment as the ZR V, Volkswagen have the Tiguan and Tayron while Skoda have the Kodiaq. We’ll explain the logic behind the calculations along with the reasons to support our conclusions in the ZR-V expected price section. As and when we get more information affecting our estimations about the ZRV expected price, we’ll update this article to accommodate new findings.

Why Is The ZRV?
The ZRV is not a car Honda intend to sell in high volumes. The main purpose of bringing the ZRV to India is to have a halo product in the portfolio. This makes the other products in the lineup look appear related to the high-performance, capable and expensive vehicle.
The purpose of a halo product is also to make the other products appear reasonable in comparison. And to serve that purpose, Honda need to go all out and bring the most expensive powertrain and drivetrain combination. That’s exactly what we’re counting on Honda to do here.
Honda ZRV Powertrain & Variants
Since most cars competing in the same segment as the Honda ZRV usually go on sale with one of their higher-end variants along with a punchy powertrain and drivetrain option, we also expect the Honda ZR V to get the more powerful hybrid powertrain along with 4-wheel drive.

While the design and profile of the ZRV is not aggressive enough to earn itself the SUV tag, the inclusion of 4WD certainly adds to its SUV credentials. Similarly, the need for efficiency and minimising fuel consumption among new car buyers is forcing them to consider hybrid powertrain options more seriously. Hence, the hybrid option makes a lot of sense for the ZR-V. The fact that it’s more expensive than a non-hybrid powertrain further helps make the ZR V a proper halo product for Honda India.
Since the primary intention with the ZRV is not sales volumes but creating a brand image for Honda, we expect the ZR-V to get only one variant. We can say with high degree of confidence that this one variant will be fully-loaded with features and it’ll get the hybrid petrol-automatic powertrain and 4-wheel drivetrain.
Honda ZR V 2026 — Expected Price
Since the ZR V is supposed to become the new flagship car in Honda India portfolio, we should expect it to be expensive.
The Honda ZR V hybrid’s chief competitors are Volkswagen Tayron, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. The Tayron and Tiguan cost around Rs. 47.0 lakh ex-showroom. The Kodiaq is priced to sell with an ex-showroom price range of Rs. 40.0 - 46.5 lakh.
Given Honda’s history of overpricing most cars, we expect the ZRV hybrid 4WD to cost Rs. 49.9 lakh. This makes it a Rs. 50.0 lakh car in conversations, which is higher than its rivals. But, that’s how Honda prefer positioning their products, especially the ones they don’t expect to sell in large numbers.
We would be shocked if it launches with a price tag around Rs. 40.0 lakh. That would convey that they mean business.
Hybrid To Be The Title Of This Story
Honda are also bringing the updated City sedan around the same time. The City hybrid hasn’t received much love from buyers and considering the steep asking price, the limited demand and attention it received is justified. So, we expect hybrid tech to take up most of the talk time in ZRV’s marketing communications. Thus, making the City hybrid appear much more affordable in comparison.
