2022 Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift Launched At Rs. 36.67 Lakh | V3Cars

Citroen have launched the 2022 C5 Aircross facelift in India. It continues to come with the 2.0L turbo diesel engine and 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Unlike before, the C5 Aircross now comes in the Shine variant only, which is priced at Rs. 36.67 lakh ex-showroom.

In terms of design, the C5 Aircross gets a new grille with knurled finishing up front, flanked by updated LED headlights. The LED DRLs are now split into two and blend into the grille’s design. In addition to that, both the front and rear bumpers are updated along with a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the C5 Aircross gets updated LED tail lights.

On the inside, while the layout of the dashboard remains the same, the C5 Aircross facelift gets a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment. In addition to that, the C5 Aircross offers a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, shift by wire technology, a wireless charger, 2-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof. Like the current model, the 2022 C5 Aircross lacks rear seat armrest and cup holders but gets 3 individual sliding and reclining seats.

As we stated earlier, the new C5 Aircross comes with the same 2.0L turbo diesel engine that puts out 177PS of power at 3750rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2000rpm. The engine channels power to the front wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross rivals other premium SUVs like the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan. It is worth noting that the aforementioned SUVs come with the option of 4-wheel-drive whereas the C5 Aircross is only offered with a front-wheel-drive configuration.
