2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG Reaches Dealerships — Launch Soon | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki launched the 2022 Brezza in June and within 5 months from its launch, the carmaker is all set to launch the CNG variant of the subcompact SUV. The 2022 Brezza CNG has reached dealerships and we expect Maruti Suzuki to announce the prices in the coming days.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the best-selling B2-segment SUVs in the country. Maruti Suzuki discontinued the diesel variants of the Brezza to comply with BS6 emission norms and since then, the Brezza hasn’t been able to lure cost-conscious customers. With the Brezza CNG, Maruti Suzuki plan to snatch back its share from its diesel rivals like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300.

We expect the Maruti Suzuki Brezza to share its CNG powertrain with the Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG, which is powered by a 1.5L normal petrol engine without the mild-hybrid system. This engine will also power the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder CNG and Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara CNG.

Maruti Suzuki are likely to offer the Brezza CNG in 2 variants — VXI and ZXI. With the ZXI variant, the new Brezza offers features like an electric sunroof, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, reverse parking camera, rear AC vents, Arkamys sound system, cruise control, keyless entry with push button start stop and 16-inch alloy wheels. It is worth mentioning that the ZXI variant of the Brezza lacks a front centre armrest that is a common feature in this segment.

We expect Maruti Suzuki to price the Brezza CNG at a premium of Rs. 95,000 over the corresponding petrol variants. It will go up against other subcompact SUVs in the segment like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and Honda WR-V. At its launch, the Brezza will be the only B2-segment SUV to offer a factory-fitted CNG option. However, Kia and Tata Motors are likely to launch Sonet CNG and Nexon CNG in a few months.
