Kia India are all set to take the wraps off of the new Seltos facelift on July 4, 2023. Ahead of its launch, we share the 2023 Seltos facelift’s expected engine options and specifications.

2023 Kia Setlos Facelift Engine Options And Specifications

We expect the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift to retain its current set of engines, which includes the 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel. Both engine options are likely to produce the same power and torque outputs as the current Seltos and retain the same transmission choices as well. While the Seltos is currently not available with a turbo petrol engine, Kia India could equip the updated SUV with the 1.5L turbo petrol engine that already powers the updated Carens MPV and the Hyundai Verna and Alcazar.

Like the Carens, the 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine of the Seltos facelift is likely to produce 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3500rpm. The turbo petrol engine could come with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Kia are unlikely to offer a 6-speed manual transmission with the turbo petrol engine, unlike the Hyundai Verna and Hyundai Alcazar, which also offer the same engine option.

2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Launch Details

Kia India will unveil the Seltos facelift on July 4, 2023 and the bookings are likely to open on the same day. The launch, on the other hand, is likely to take place in August, 2023. The new Seltos will continue to rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor.
