Skoda India are all set to launch the Kushaq Onyx Edition. Dealer dispatches of the new Kushaq Onyx Edition have begun and we expect Skoda to announce its prices soon.

2023 Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Exterior Details

The Kushaq Onyx Edition will sit between the base Active variant and mid Ambition Classic variant. The Kushaq Onyx Edition offers projector headlights, LED DRLs, wheel covers, roof rails, Onyx branding on B-pillars, LED tail lights, rear wiper with washer and rear defogger.

2023 Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Interior And Features

On the inside, the new Onyx Edition offers a single tone dashboard, albeit without gloss black inserts. Furthermore, it offers features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control and steering-mounted controls. It is worth mentioning that Skoda do not offer automatic climate control in the Kushaq Ambition Classic variant.

2023 Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Powertrain Details

In terms of powertrain, the Kushaq Onyx Edition gets the 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The Kushaq Onyx Edition get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and we do not expect Skoda to offer the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the Kushaq produces 115PS of power at 5500rpm and 178Nm of torque between 1750rpm and 4500rpm. Along with the Onyx Edition, we expect Skoda to launch the updated 2023 Kushaq with BS6 phase-2 and road driving emission (RDE) compliant engines.

2023 Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition Launch Details

The BS6 phase-2 and RDE norms take effect on April 1, 2023. Hence, we expect Skoda to launch the updated 2023 Kushaq and the Kushaq Onyx Edition before the deadline. The new Kushaq will continue to rival its C-segment SUV rivals, such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
