2023 Toyota Vellfire Launched In India

Toyota India have launched the new-gen Vellfire at a starting price of Rs. 1.20 crore (ex-showroom). The new-gen Vellfire is available in 2 grades — High and VIP Executive Lounge. The High grade comes with a black interior choice while the Executive Lounge offers the option of 3 interior upholstery colours — black, beige and brown. The last recorded price of the outgoing Vellfire Executive Lounge was Rs. 90.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The new-gen Vellfire Executive Lounge costs Rs. 1.30 Crore, making it Rs. 39.20 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model. Like before, the Vellfire is available in the country as a direct CBU import.

2023 Toyota Vellfire Exterior Details

The new Vellfire continues to measure under 5 metres in length and retains the bold stance of its predecessor. If you felt that the front profile of the Vellfire had too much chrome, you might like the front end of the new model since it uses a larger grille with chrome inserts and newly-designed LED headlights. The changes at the front give it a sportier look than the outgoing model. Around the side, the Vellfire looks long and continues to feature the signature kink around the middle of the window line. At the rear, the new Vellfire looks flat and boasts connected LED tail lights.

2023 Toyota Vellfire Interior And Features

On your way into the cabin of the Vellfire, you get to step on the new retractable side steps, which is a first of its kind on any Toyota. Once you make your way in, you will notice a revamped dashboard that features a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Thanks to the updated platform, Toyota have managed to offer additional legroom of 5mm and 10mm for the second- and third-row, respectively. Toyota have also re-engineered the seats and claim they offer less vibrations and better comfort.

Since it is called Executive Lounge, it is natural for the Vellfire to have individual lounge chairs for the 2nd-row with a myriad of adjustments, ventilation and massaging functions. The 2nd-row passengers also get individual glass roof cutouts, flanking a flowing console mounted on the roof, which holds the necessary controls for HVAC, sunshades and sliding doors. 

2023 Toyota Vellfire Powertrain Details

The new-gen Vellfire comes with a 2.5L strong hybrid petrol powertrain. It produces 193PS of power and 240Nm of torque and channels power to the wheels via an e-CVT transmission. Like every other Toyota hybrid offering, the Vellfire also offers an 8 year standard warranty for the battery pack. We expect Toyota to reveal more details of the Vellfire hybrid soon.
