2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Spotted Again

The latest spy shots of the Creta facelift reveal its internal codename – SU2i – where the ‘i’ is likely to represent the India-spec model. The Creta facelift is already on sale in several global markets but that offers a different design to what’s expected on the updated version of the India-spec model. While the global-spec Creta facelift takes design cues from the Tucson, the India-bound Creta facelift will share a few design traits with the Palisade and recently-revealed Santa Fe SUV.

In terms of design changes, the new Creta facelift for the Indian market is likely to offer a larger grille, split LED headlights, and H-shaped LED DRLs. Around the side, it will retain the blade-shaped element running beneath the roofline while also incorporating a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Creta facelift could feature updated LED tail lights with H-shaped LED pattern.

2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Interior And Features

On the inside, the Creta facelift could offer a revamped dashboard with more features than the current model. The 2024 Hyundai Creta could feature the Alcazar’s 10.25-inch touchscreen instrument cluster and is also likely to offer advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features to have a competitive edge over the MG Astor, Honda Elevate, and Kia Seltos facelift.

2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Powertrain Details

The new Creta facelift is likely to retain the current 1.5L normal petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines from the current model. Meanwhile, Hyundai-Kia’s new 1.5L turbo petrol engine is likely to replace the now-discontinued 1.35L turbo petrol engine. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine already powers the turbo petrol variants of the Verna sedan and Alcazar SUV. This engine produces 160PS of power at 5500rpm and 253Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3500rpm. In the Verna and Alcazar, this engine comes with the option of either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. We expect Hyundai to offer the same transmission options with the Creta facelift as well.

2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch Details

Hyundai are likely to launch the Creta facelift in early 2024. We expect Hyundai dealerships to commence unofficial bookings for the Creta facelift towards the end of 2023 and its global reveal could take place at the start of 2024 and launch thereafter. The new Creta will continue to rival other C-segment SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Honda Elevate.
