On April 30, we got our hands on the new generation Maruti Swift 2024 material confirming some of the new features of the upcoming hatchback. According to the source material, the 2024 Swift will get 6 airbags as standard. The new Swift will also bring a few additional features such as:

- Arkamys sound system
- Rear AC vents
- Wireless phone charger

New Swift Mileage, Engine Specifications Confirmed
A day after we gained access to the upcoming Swift’s new features, our source confirmed the new hatchback’s engine specifications. The 2024 Maruti Swift will get the new Z series 3-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. While the displacement of the new Swift engine remains the same as before, it’s an all-new engine for India.
According to a leaked internal document, the new Maruti Swift 2024 will have a mileage figure of 25.72kmpl, which is about 15% higher than the old model. The new Z series petrol engine in the Swift produces 81.6PS of power and 112Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki will offer 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. New Swift 2024 Bookings Open
Maruti Suzuki opened bookings for the 2024 Swift on May 1. The booking amount for the 2024 Swift is set at Rs. 11,000 and it is likely to go on sale on May 9. Interested customers can book the new Swift via Maruti Suzuki Arena website or by visiting their nearest Maruti Suzuki Arena dealership.

No CNG For New Swift 2024 At Launch
According to our source, the 2024 Swift won’t get a CNG powertrain at launch. Additionally, while the Swift is offered with a CVT automatic in international markets, the India-spec model will come with an AMT automatic. Maruti Suzuki have paired and tested the Swift’s new engine with the AMT to work well in Indian conditions. However, the CNG version of this engine is not yet tested. Hence, we can’t confirm if the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will get this new engine with a CNG powertrain.
Maruti To Introduce New VXI (O) Variant Of 2024 Swift
Our source has confirmed the new Swift will come in 5 variants. In addition to the usual LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI Plus variants, the Swift 2024 will also get a new VXI (O) variant. This is similar to the 5-variant lineup we saw with the Fronx, where Delta Plus serves as the middle variant for the car.
